Now with the launch of Tot version 2.0, you can now manually export all the text into a .JSON file and upload to Files app as a backup via iCloud if desired. Keep in mind that Tot also keeps regular automatic backups of your data on both iOS and macOS as well for safekeeping. You can read about it here.
