Adjusting Tot's Per-Dot Text Formatting on the Mac
print icon

Tot for macOS has the ability to adjust individual text formatting preferences across its seven dots.

Text formatting like smart quotes, smart copy/paste, text substitutions and more can all be adjusted individually. Furthermore these settings are saved across each dot separately which makes it possible to use smart quotes on dot 1 but turn them off on dot 3 for example.

To adjust Tot's text formatting options, bring Tot for Mac to the foreground and select the dot you wish to adjust.

Next, under Edit select Substitutions and turn the item you want ON or OFF accordingly.

You'll have to do this for each of the dots if you want them to behave all the same way.
