Will there be an Android version?

Tapestry was made possible via crowd funding on kickstarter. And we also got funded to made a Mac version next.

We are a very small company, with just two developers, we just doesn’t have the resource to even think about any other platforms outside the Apple eco system. We have no idea how hard to port the core Apple Technologies we utilized baked into iOS over to Android.

We have more than enough work in front of us for future Tapestry updates (for iOS, iPadOS, macOS, etc).

None of us here use Android devices also. That is also an issue for future testing and quality assurance.

We saw other iOS app trying to raise funding via KickStarter to make their Android counter part, and fail to be funded. So unless someone gave us enough money to hire a few full time android developers for multi-years (a long term commitment). We won’t be able to make an android version. We just don’t have the resource and money to take on extra development (and risk).
