OPML files are a great way to quickly import a large set of feeds into Tapestry. They also let you export your feeds should you need to take them with you to another service or app. Here are the steps to import an existing OPML file as well as export your current Tapestry feeds as an OPML file.

Settings (Gear icon at bottom right) > Your Feeds > Import or Export OPML


When importing, you can select the feeds in the file and the connector that will be used. For example, you could select all the feeds that are podcasts and then Import As "Podcasts".

When exporting, only feeds that can be represented in OPML will be used. If you are using connectors like Mastodon or Bluesky, your accounts there will not be included in the exported file.

To create a backup of all your Tapestry data, use Settings > Advanced Settings >  Backup Feeds and Configuration.
