Generally Tot's syncing is very reliable. But sometimes iCloud gets confused and you'll see text fail to sync or lose text during the syncing process. Here are a few things you can try to get iCloud back in working order:
1) Restart all devices that are using Tot, both on macOS, iPadOS, iOS, and watchOS.
2) Settings > [Your Name] > iCloud > Saved to iCloud See All > scroll all the way down to look for Tot. And then toggle the on / off button
FYI, Tot is NOT under Apps Syncing to iCloud Drive
3) If that doesn't work, sign out of iCloud on all devices, and then sign back in.
We realize this last step is disruptive, but we haven't been able to find a better way to get things working again.
